It’s been a while since I last watched a tennis game and boy, was I glad to see Rafa and Roger go head-to-head in the Wimbledon final!
During the final of the French, I said that it would be Rafa in 4 sets. It was a bit of a letdown when Rafa simply demolished Roger in [...]

Maybe we could start the Philippine Chapter?
May 12th, 2008 · No Comments
Ok, I’m not perfect in my use of any language that I use in an attempt to communicate. However, it does give me the creepy-crawlies when I see signs boasting of “sweet shirts” or “vicycles”. Even signs in Filipino have these mistakes.
Introducing, The Typo Eradication Advancement League (TEAL).
The Panda is no longer alone!

We made plans to attend mass at the Chapel of the Holy Sacrifice inside the UP Diliman campus today. You see, the UPCAT is next weekend and Alien needed to know how to get to the School of Economics.
Since it was a Sunday and the Acad Oval was closed to traffic, we took the [...]

Ghosts of Filipino Teachers Past
June 11th, 2007 · 1 Comment
Why is it that my high school Filipino teachers are in some way in my life 11 years after I left the institution? (Is that first sentence even grammatically correct? I got confused.)

I know I’ve been neglecting this and not fulfilling the posts I promised. Thing is, I seem to have no energy to do anything. At all.
===============================
I’ve been dragging my feet in making a decision. The signs are not just in neon but they also have arrows pointing to them. It’s time I guess.

Out of the Country

On a business trip here in Taiwan. Our first day was spent doing the ocular for the event. It was pretty much straightforward work but with a bit of clowning around since I was with zany and irreverent people. It also helps that the guys are the ones that I pal around with at [...]

TV’s Coolest Dad
November 11th, 2006 · No Comments
Somebody has just replaced Sandy Cohen as the coolest dad on television. In my book that is.
I’ve been watching fansubs of the Taiwanese drama “Devil Beside You” and I must say, You Hui takes the top spot for now.
You Hui comes off as a very flighty character at the beginning. His personality simply clashes [...]

Gary Oldman, actor

I find the ad for Nokia’s N93 fascinating mainly because it features Gary Oldman. My best memory of him on film was as Beethoven in Immortal Beloved. I know that younger people know him mainly for being Sirius Black in the Harry Potter movies.
