I’ve had all sorts of ideas for blog posts but I’ve only had the chance to actually start blogging now.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks. I’ve been going to work on the weekend either to teach or to facilitate with other people who teach. Despite this, it’s been fruitful in other aspects as I’ve managed to dig deep and pull up new learning opportunities.

On the more private side of things, I’ve been in touch with several long-lost friends. Long-lost because I’ve fallen out of touch with them because of various reasons. Some friends experienced life changing moments, while others simply had the time to catch up. I wasn’t able to meet up with any of them face-to-face but thank God for Facebook, Multiply, text and YM!

So within the last couple of weeks, I’ve learned that:

• Candice gave birth to her second child. A little girl this time around. In her words,
  “quota” na sya. I’ll gladly stand for little Catelyn Nina as a godmother. Congrats and thanks, sis!
• Dearest Kaka has flown off to Hong Kong to take on a greater responsibility. I’m so happy for her! You deserve all the success that you’ve gotten. So sorry I wasn’t able to make your despedida. Good luck Kaka and I’ll just visit you in HK!
• During my chat with my soul sista Beth, I learned that our soul brother has finally found himself. And Beth’s son is nearly reaching the one-year mark. Miss you sis!
• Wonderful Aileen has launched Shy Girl Guide for all shy girls (and guys!) out there. And she got her MA in Counseling Psychology! It’s going to be a wonderful community knowing how Aileen goes about things. I love it! Too bad, I won’t be able to go to Woman-to-Woman once again. (If only I could ditch work!) So go check it out!
• MG has finally took the helmet off and realized that she had to get rid of that large wall. I say, good riddance!
• In September, dearest friend K is tying the knot with her perfect match. Who would’ve thought that she was going first?!? Congratulations and best wishes, K and Mike!
• Got caught up with bubbly Cathy on Multiply and found out that she got married! She’s so blooming and happy. Again, Congrats!
• Good thing I got caught up with Cathy because I found Ronron through her! Thanks Ronron for the kind words. And here I thought that you were the one who has always been so kind and thoughtful. Glad that we got in touch once again.
• The best text message that I got in a long time came from Juvy. It went something like, “I’ll be resigning from my job tomorrow. I don’t know where I’ll go next but I’m so happy!” Love you so much, Sis! Will be supporting you all the way. Remember that we’ll be neighbors next year!
• Oh yeah, Beatlebum just posted our college videos on youtube. Just praying that my bosses don’t see this! Although the ones I’m in are not as incriminating as the others. Di ko lang talaga kinakayang panooorin! Tama si Claire, never to be opened again yung mga yun! In fairness, proud ako sa newscast ko for 124 kahit na sinabi ng ka-opisina ko na akala niya yung “Physics In Action” ng Constel yun! hahahaha

Some other stuff for the next few weeks…

It’s Gen’s birthday next week. And because of the same reason I won’t be attending Aileen’s Woman-to-Woman retreat, I won’t be able to join her celebration. I miss you sis!

Will be meeting with Jane and the sisses for dinner the week after. I hope everyone who can make it will be there. Sheila, this means you! hehehe
