Been out of commission since Sunday. Was busy attending to mahBebe in the hospital. Rushed him there Sunday night because his blood pressure was up - 170/110 from the time we got home from dinner with his classmates. It was the first day of the board exams and there was more to come the next day.

The doctor gave him medicines orally and none worked. His bp was steady at 170/110. He had to make the decision of whether he will let himself be admitted or still try to take the exams the next morning. As a last resort, the doctor said that she will try to inject him with a diuretic to try to see if the diastolic would go down. It only went back to normal after four oral medicines, an IV diuretic and 5 hours in the emergency room.

His bp remained normal while at the hospital but he had to undergo the battery of tests to see why the episode happened. All the results so far were normal so it was most likely the pressure and stress of the day. Although the doctor had to put him on maintenance medicine for hypertension already.

Our next problem is what to do with the exam that he was not able to complete. The doctor told him to try to get a special exam while Tita Lyn told him to try to get it struck from his record. We’ll see what’s going to happen next.

Thank God we got over this hump!
