My uncle once commented that I knew way too much about old entertainers for someone my age.

You see, we were passing by the Silver Spring, MD AFI (American Film Institute) outdoor movie showing from the Greyhound terminal on our way back to the apartment. (This was back when the “new” downtown Silver Spring was just beginning. Can’t believe that was 7 years ago!) Since the fencing was low enough and the screen was big enough, I was able to sneak a peek at what was showing. I forgot what movie was showing but I made a comment about the actor. My uncle looked at me incredulously and that had him uttering the comment above.

I don’t claim to be an expert in old Hollywood and reading through the Timmy/Shimmy story at CrazyDaysandNights is really making my head spin. I can’t hazard a guess but it’s pretty fun following what the regulars are posting. This is one of the reasons why I find it hard to get a decent night’s sleep! I can’t help but sift through the comments that people have left on the posts.
