It’s been a while since I went on a TV series marathon. I managed to get hold of the “supposed” complete series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Supposed because half of the second season is not in here! And it happens to be missing the best parts – Angel losing his soul once again and turning back into Angelus and Buffy having to fight him. I hope it’s not missing anymore episodes. I’m making my way through season three right now.

I was never a big Buffy fan but I loved its spin-off Angel to bits. (For one thing, David Boreanaz stars. *dreamy*) However, watching the series now makes me wonder why I didn’t get on it when it aired. Joss Whedon is effing brilliant!

Now, I’m not just saying that since I’m a recently converted browncoat who subscribes to the Firefly/Serenity brigade. (That’s another post.) The writing is wonderfully snarky and the storylines are very “real” despite the subject matter. If you know what I mean.

The characters are full and relate-able. Angel’s enigmatic entry gave me chills of anticipation. I giggled with glee and clapped my hands when Spike ran over the Sunnydale sign. Pure joy ran through me when Cordy and Xander started kissing as well as when Willow and Xander got drawn together. Oh! So many happy memories!

Gotta go back and face the TV now.
