This is the thing… I have been indulging in DVDs and VCDs in between working and sleeping these past few days. I’ve finally been able to complete the second season of Veronica Mars (as well as the complete series of Yakitate! Japan, but that’s another story:)) aside from watching it running (original air and rerun) on etc. I know, I know - I am obsessed.
I’ve written about how great VM is previously in the TVBuff blog. Anyway, I would have to agree with Whitney of USA Today’s Popcandy - crushing on Logan Echolls is highly inappropriate. Particularly since he’s fictional. Not that Jason Dohring who plays Logan is not adorable but I probably won’t appreciate him if not for Logan.
Just read this exchange between LoVe (Logan-Veronica, get it?):
Logan: I thought our story was epic, you know? You and me.
Veronica: Epic how?
Logan: Spanning years, and continents. Lives ruined and blood shed. Epic. But summer’s almost here, and we won’t see each other at all. And then you’ll leave town, and then… it’s over.
Veronica: Logan…
Logan: I’m sorry about last summer. You know, if I could do it over…
Veronica: Come on. Ruined lives? Bloodshed? You really think a relationship should be that hard?
Logan: No one writes songs about the ones that come easy.
Hey, even Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly) agreed by placing Logan in his list of the best TV characters ever. Now that’s a compliment.
