My boss is waiting for me to submit something that I should have submitted last Friday while I was on leave. I got time since my class is currently rushing to redeem themselves from their pathetic submissions yesterday. They got a pointed lecture on the quality of their work and it sobered them up. I give them this last chance to get the grade because if they fail my subject, they’re gonna be out of the program.

So he’s leaving, my boss that is. When I got to our area, I found some of his papers on my desk. I glanced over to his side and noticed that it was all cleaned up except for his plaques, souvenirs and whatnot. There is an invite for a get-together on Sunday but with my dad planning something for the weekend, I won’t get to join. There is no update yet on who’s going to take over so the position so we’re all waiting with baited breath.

Whatever happens, I’ll make my place with the position that I end up with. Both offer great opportunities for growth and learning. I’m weighed down by a lot of work but it still remains to be fairly manageable as long as everybody abides by the rules.

I saw a former colleague who transferred to a company that I once considered. Truth be told, I’m not so hot with the idea of moving there despite the bigger opportunity in both position and compensation. I feel like it’s a little too hyped up and that I’ll be going back to that drudgery that I left. I’m crossing my fingers that things work out where I am.
