Woman throws children into the bay in SF

October 21st, 2005 · No Comments

Ok, I do hear voices in my head and I have conversations with myself. However I draw the line on this. A 23-year-old woman threw her 3 children off the pier in the Embarcadero are in San Francisco, CA. The children were 1, 3 and 6 years old and from news sources, they found 1 body already.

The SF Chronicle reporter interviewed on NBC’s Today, where I first heard the story, said that the woman “systematically took off the clothes of the children” and supposedly threw them into the 59 degree-Farenheit (15 degrees Celsius) water. Even though there were bystanders, they couldn’t get to the woman in time since the pier juts off 100 yards into the bay. She then waited for the police who came to arrest her after. Below is the link to the San Francisco Chronicle article.

3 kids feared dead — thrown into S.F. bay Mother who said she heard voices is arrested — a small body recovered near Fort Mason

Relatives said that Leshaun Harris, the woman (I can’t bear to call her the mother), is mentally-disturbed. It just horrifies me that such things happen.
