For the life of me, I don’t understand why the BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) filing a case for tax evasion against actor Richard Gomez deserves to be a headline on the primetime news. It got higher ranking than the news that Ombudsman Simeon Marcelo tendered his resignation due to health reasons.
This issue might even be prolonged since I’m pretty sure that someone from the opposition will say that the move is politically motivated since Gomez is a known supporter of the late FPJ.
If the BIR decides to do the same against Lucio Tan, now that is news!

haha. nagtaka ka pa. it’s like the chicken and the egg question: media organizations come out with such stories because it’s what the audience want. same goes for the audience, “yun ang nakalabas eh, might as well watch/read/hear it.” katatapos ko lang mag-report sa klase kanina why our media election coverage is like that — trash. KAKAPAGOD. nasa maling propesyon ata ako.
